Eyes on Africa and the Caribbean

What's Going on, Eyes on Africa and the Caribbean

Hello, I am Moronke oshin martin

Moronke Oshin-Martin has fashioned the notion of an interactive podcast into a multinational connective tool to link her motherland of Africa with its sons and daughters in the Caribbean whether they live in America, Europe or Latin America. Her idea is simple – “Bring people home” and do so by any means necessary – and here it’s by Podcasting!

Moronke was born in Nigeria, grew up in the United Kingdom, attended the University of Manchester, New York University and earned her Doctorate in Management from the University of Maryland.

With a life and career devoted to communications, her roles have included being the Spokesperson for the New York City Council, Director of Communications for the largest Teamsters local in the USA; Management Consultant and Executive Coach; and College Professor at the City University of New York’s Bronx Community College, podcasting opens another door.

The idea for the podcast came from her adult children who live with identities forged from their heritage from Nigeria, Guyana and the UK, and as Americans. The podcast is a way of reminding her audience, friends and family that there is no conflict but just richness in being African, Caribbean and drawing from the UK while being quintessentially American.
